Melissa Wisniewski's goal within the first two minutes sent a message to visiting Mt. Juliet Christian that Webb was ready to play at Lagler Field on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Feet poured in one goal after another en route to a 6-0 victory over their foes from District A of the East/Middle Region.

"Everybody played pretty well," Webb coach Adrian Anderson said. "The backs didn't play as strong as what we have been playing. Midfield closed down the ball better today than they did against Cascade, but we were losing the ball because of a bad pass."

It was the first district victory for Webb with a tough stretch of league matches on the horizon.

"Right now I'm just working on stuff with them to try to get them ready for the region (competition). I know exactly how the best teams in the region are going to play, and I know exactly how we're going to have to play in order to beat them," Anderson said.

Karly Grissom put the lead at 2-0 with a score in the ninth minute thanks to an assist from Emilee Gibson. Candler Huddleston's played some string music as well eight minutes prior to intermission with the assist going to Wisnewski.

Katie Jones, who assisted Wisniewski's score, opened up the second half with a pair of goals with assists going to Anne Windham and Aurora MacDougall, respectively. Grissom thinned the twine for the second time late in the match on an assist via Shelby Brady.

Webb hits the road for their next District A match, which is at Donelson Christian Academy on Thursday at 5:30.
