Three fake $20s were given to a cashier at a BP convenience store late Tuesday afternoon, officers were told.
The suspect was driving a white van or Ford Explorer, the clerk said and store video showed, according to Detective Brian Crews.
Tuesday's bills are not connected with those spent last week in two other Shelbyville stores and discovered by a local bank among incoming deposits, Crews said. A suspect has been arrested in Rutherford County in connection with those bills, according to police.
New description
The suspects involved in the brutal road rage beating of a Shelbyville couple are now thought to have been in a gold Cadillac rather than a white Lincoln, Crews said.
One of the victims said a Cadillac she saw later resembled the one seen last Friday.
The victims, a husband and wife, were attacked after a near-collision between two cars on White Street. Three men jumped from the Cadillac, broke the nose of the man driving the other vehicle and attacked his wife when she came to his aid, police said.
Drug stolen
Syringes containing Copaxone, a prescription drug for multiple sclerosis, were stolen from a home on Christopher Court between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Officers were unable to find any signs of forced entry.
