The regular season finale victory pushes the Lady Champions' overall record to 5-5 and 5-2 in District 11-A/AA, which places them third in the standings.
Third-seeded Cascade hosts No. 6-seed Community in the opening round of the district tournament at a time and date yet to be determined.
Forrest (4-4, 3-4) had a chance to take an early lead as Taylour Allen lined up for a penalty kick less than 4 minutes in. The Lady Champs caught a break as her shot attempt sailed over the crossbar.
In the 17th minute, Cascade's Ashley Bledsoe crossed a ball in front of the net to teammate Laura Jett, who promptly headed in the pinpoint pass for a 1-0 lead.
After being just off on a pair of free kicks at the top of the box, Bledsoe sailed in a goal from a near-impossible angle over the outstretched arms of Lady Rocket goalkeeper Shannon Warren in minute 30.
With less than 6 minutes to go in the first half, Anna Wiser got Forrest right back into the match with a score off an assist from Allen.

One thing you better expect in Murfreesboro, HOME-COOKIN!! We fell victim to the same thing over there. MTCS goes from mediocure to State Contenders when they have their hand-picked refs
we didn't seem to have any problem with the "home cookin".
Glad to see Community is getting better every game. good job ladies.
LOL... Probably wouldn't recognize it. You guys also have hand-picked refs.
