Two break-ins reported at Fairground Heights

Thursday, October 8, 2009
Thefts occurred at two homes on Fairground Heights last weekend, Shelbyville police said.

A new stove was stolen from a home under renovation and, about a block away, a vehicle jack and extension ladder were taken from a storage shed.

Police said a lock was cut on the storage building while no signs of forced entry were found in the home.

Car entered

The stereo system was stolen from a car at Davis Estates Apartments, Anthony Lane, between 9 p.m. Monday and 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Entry was gained by breaking a window, according to the report.
