Heritage Medical Center is taking a head on approach toward fighting breast cancer with several educational and informational activities taking place through Oct. 14.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and with that comes the celebration of Heritage Medical Center's newly renovated digital mammography suite. Heritage officials say the environment and skilled doctors and nurses will make patients feel right at home.
"Lunch and Learn" guided tours of the new facilities were given today. More tours will be given tomorrow Oct. 9 and Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m. Tomorrow, Dr. William Russell will speak about breast cancer detection at 12:20 p.m. and on Oct. 14 Dr. Lynette Adams will speak about breast cancer awareness and risks.
Call the hospital at 685-8390 to reserve your tour.

During the last nine months, I have used Heritage Medical facilities for mammograms/ultrasounds on two different occasions. I have also undergone a biospy done by Dr. Russell. I was extremely pleased with the caring, professional treatment I received. We are fortunate to have the new hospital in our area - staffed with the personnel (doctors, nurses, technicians) assembled there.
Your quite fortunate reilly.
Many, many have had a much different type of experience there.
How would you like to wait 8 days for the results of a mammogram ??
How would you like to have a tourniquet applied and LEFT ON when you left the facility ???
Ive spoken with Dan out there and in my opinion he needs to return to his previous employment which I am sure had something to do with Golden Arches.
If you read the info on the hospital website it appears to have its oversight done by a 'firm' in Indiana. Calling them to inquire about staff training produced one of the best run around calls I have ever had. Much much better than even calling the IRS.
