Allyson Ridley registered both scores for the Mountain Lions (8-2-1, 2-1 East/Middle). Alex Berner provided the assist to the first score. The second tally came on a penalty kick.
"It's really tough and the main reason why it's tough is because we outplayed them 75 percent of the game," Webb coach Adrian Anderson said. "But, in the other 25 percent of the game, we played very poorly."
The loss leaves Webb at 8-4 overall and 1-3 in the region, which means their match Tuesday at Davidson Academy decides who will be in fourth place in the standings. The No. 4 seed in the region tournament hosts No. 5 on Oct. 15.
"We didn't really create too many clear-cut opportunities to score," said Anderson, who pointed to a foul that took place just outside the top of the box in a collision with SAS goalkeeper Katie Craighill as being his team's best chance for a goal but no call was made. Webb's Melissa Wisniewski was upended and hurt on the play and did not return.
Craighill guarded the net for the visitors throughout for the shutout.
Caroline Smith notched three saves for the Lady Feet.
Anderson said he'd like to see his team show more movement off the ball and more attack at forward in their next match.
Webb plays host to neighboring Community on Friday afternoon at 4:30. There will be a ceremony honoring the seven Lady Feet seniors beforehand at 4.
"They're putting together a good team over there (at Community). (Coach Mark Neill) is doing a good job and those girls are working real hard. It's going to be tougher than it was at the (Bell Buckle) Jam, I know that," Anderson said.
