The suspect drove onto the property, which is being remodeled, and falsely told a workman that a family member's wife had said she could have the items, police said. She allegedly returned after the workman left and took folding chairs and three cabinets.
The suspect was driving a dark blue SUV, possibly a Mazda, police were told.
* A woman who was watching items for her landlord at Davis Estates Apartments, Anthony Lane, told police a dishwasher was taken without permission between noon and 2 p.m. Monday by someone in a white pickup truck.
The victim said her laptop computer was taken from her apartment, according to a separate report. No signs of forced entry were found, police said.
* A man moving from a Carter Street home told police a recliner and three non-working cell phones were taken between 7 and 10 p.m. Monday.
The victim said a friend had seen neighbors enter the house while he was away. The neighbors, when confronted by the victim, ran into their home and called police, followed immediately by another from the victim, reports indicate.
* A aluminum cargo box trailer was stolen from a Fairground Heights home and allegedly sold for scrap, police were told Monday.
The property owner told police the resident, a renter, told her a man had sold the trailer to a metal firm for $200.
* A diamond ring was stolen from a jewelry box at a Bedford Manor Apartments home between Saturday and Monday, police were told.
Police listed as a suspect a man who had spent the weekend at the home saying he had no job or money but had purchased beer Monday.

The following were arrested since Monday by the Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.
* Christopher Blake Hill, 25, Nashville; bondsman surrender; held, $30,000 bond
* Helen Louise Lankford, 20, Cleveland Road; vandalism; released, $500 bond
* Thomas Wayne Owens, 30, Deery Street; violation of probation; released, $2,500 bond
