A Shelbyville man is dead after gunshots rang out during an argument Friday night at a Burt Street apartment complex.
Gary Latron 'Tron' Thomison, 21, of Shelbyville was shot multiple times in the parking lot of Oak Hill Village II Apartments, Detective Sgt. Brian Crews of the Shelbyville Police Department said.
Police are searching for George Simpson, 24, of Murfreesboro, who allegedly fired the shots into Thomison's upper torso shortly after 10 p.m. "He is wanted for first degree murder and is to be considered armed and dangerous," Crews said.

just sad, so sad.
So sad so young he graduated with my grandson
RIP Tron Prayers to the family
i was so sad to here of this tragedy in our small once quiet community i have children close to this young man's age it just breaks my heart to hear of so much violence in our world today my thoughts and prayers are w/ the family. god be with you
my prayer and thoughts are with the family and hope that justice be served just hold your heads up and let the tears fall but know he will never be hurt again
They were probably fighting over drugs. One more drug dealer down alot more to go.
Seriously? If this was your son, "tiredofthiscrap", I don't think you would be so insensitive. Unlike you, I don't use a user name, you know exactly who I am. I lost my son, I wouldn't appreciate such a comment like that. Tron was a sweet boy. No one is perfect. My thoughts are with the family as they are trying to deal with a hole in their hearts that will never mend.
I had a very hard time sleeping last night after hearing this. Of course I heard all kinds of who supposedly, and what, and why this happened. I felt, hurt, sorrow, and an emptiness that I know is probably only Half of the emotions that Trons mother and brother are probably going through.
My son played ball with Tron's younger brother when they were little, and their mom would bring my son home from the games that were out of town. He remembers Tron, and how Tron would play around with him at some of the games he came too. My son is very sad about this, he cried all last night, and feeling a bit emotion from this tragedy as well.
No one is perfect in life, we all have our good and bad about ourselves. We all make mistakes, and could make better decision for ourselves as well. I myself do not know Tron personally, I know of his mother; I can not imagine the pain she must be going through loosing her son this way, the boy was shot "MANY" times from what I heard, and being that his killer is still running around out their has to be waying heavy on her heart. I lost a relative a couple of years ago, whose death was a result of murder, and his Killer or Killers are still walking the streets freely as well. Shelbyville is pretty good about solving their murder cases, I must say.
At least they know who they are looking for, and that is the main step to solving the case and bringing justice for the deceased & family. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, and are aloud to say "some things" they want on these blogs, but loosing a child is a horrific situation to a parent. And I wish people would keep this in mind when they are wanting to post Negative comments about the deceased person. Especially when their comments reflect they are glad the person is dead. You bring that much more pain and sorrow to the parents.
My thoughts and prayers for you Nita and the family, God Bless and keep you all.
Im with Tabby Stem, why would you say something so insensitive when a young person just lost their life. How would you feel"tiredofthiscrap"if this was someone close to you. And some ignorate person wrote this about your loved one.Probablt not to good. Tron's family and friends are in pain for losing him, and you have no respect what so ever.
I hope they catch the guy that did the shooting. There is no excuse for all this.
I hardly think anyone would argue that some aspect of this man's lifestyle gauranteed his fate. Whether he was in the drug 'industry' or not, his choice of peers was a factor in his demise.
Let this be a lesson to all those who choose to run(or even acquaint themselves) with unsavories.
'Sweet boy' or not, if he would have chosen more reputable companions, he may not have had multiple fatal gunshot wounds to the torso.
greeneyedmomof3 I believe you are my first cousin, my dad "Red" would be you mom's brother, LOL. There's people on the blogs that like to keep stuff stirred up, so they find stories that they know someone will be upset if they say something mean or negative about someone. They need "JESUS" in their lives.
To the family & friends of Tron, just know their are people that care about you and your family, we are praying for you all. And just know that God is a problem solver. He will take care of all of this, just leave it in his hands. The devil is busy planting his evil seeds that if it should sprout and grow will devour and destroy man. As we have gotten older in life, we see and know things that could turn out good and bad in our lives, but when we were younger we could not see any dangers or downfalls. Our young people are more vulnerable to the false lies, riches, and pleasures that are hidden behind an illusional veil. This evil keeps us blinded from seeing the truth, and the overall out come of what is in-stored for us ahead.
We as parents and adults need to be more active in our young peoples lives. Whether they are your children or not. If their was more good seeds planted among our younger people, the crime rates would drop quite a bit. And let me say this it would not matter if Tron was The landlord of that apartment, or a neighbor that choose his church members as his companions.
If they had gotten into an argument with the killers girlfriend, they would be dead too. Even a person making comments like one less dealer, could run the risk of being shot. This would be the type of person that will become angry if you look at him the wrong. Anyone could be his victim..
Look at the Columbine School where inocent people had lost their lives by the hand of a man that did not even know all of them. People that are angry and carry a gun, is a danger to all people.
