Riding Hawgs for the Dawgs
Sunday, November 8, 2009

|
The second annual "Riding Hawgs for the Dawgs" poker run was held Saturday to benefit the Middle Tennessee Spay & Neuter Clinic. The clinic, scheduled to open in January, will help low-income individuals and rescue groups get dogs and cats altered to help with pet overpopulation in Bedford County. Rider Joe Crosslin enjoyed some of the Saturday sunshine while waiting for the event to begin. (T-G Photo by John I. Carney)

The ride began from the Bedford County Courthouse. Organizers were pleased with the turnout; The exact number of entries wasn't available at press time but was said to be an increase over the first year's entries. (T-G Photo by John I. Carney)

Beautiful ride and very well organized. Prizes were outstanding.... Will ride this one again....
Great group of riders and beautiful day everyone was nice and had fun for a great cause.
Your coverage of this event is very lacking...What about the accident that left one rider, Ricky Adcock (Slim), in critical condition? My brother has been seriously injured due to an accident while he was riding with this group, yet there has been NO COVERAGE of that accident. Don't you think the readers have a right to know that these men and women put their lives on the line for a "cause" that they truely believe in?
