Webb-Bell Buckle's boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Division II-A state cross country championship at Percy Warner Park Steeplechase course in Nashville early Saturday.

Both the Feet (190 points) and Lady Feet (197 points) finished eighth in the team standings.

Webb-Knoxville's boys (53 points) and girls (33 points) teams claimed state titles.

The top finisher for the Feet was Damien Launay. The senior, who placed 12th last year, completed the course in 17 minutes, 53 seconds to earn sixth place.

Jessica York of the Lady Feet crossed the finish line in 18th place (23:02) in the girls race.

"Damien did an outstanding job. I'm really proud of him," Webb-Bell Buckle coach Effie Rose said. "And, Jessica made the top 20 for the girls. As a freshman, this is outstanding. I have high expectations for her in the future."

Spartan Lucas Jones scooted through the course in 17:14 to top the individual standings in the boys side.

Amber Zimmerman made it a clean sweep for Webb-Knoxville by claiming first on the girls side after crossing in 20:03.
