Chili spices up day for good cause

Chris White, seen in the white jacket, has plenty of help serving chili on the east side of the Courthouse Square in Shelbyville Saturday seeking donations for City Outreach Ministry.

White prepared about 40 gallons of the spicy meat, bean and chili dish with cheese and jalapenos on the side.

That's enough to serve several hundred hungry patrons on the sun-drenched parking area of the square, including these diners at left.
