Victory Baptist claims pair of wins

Lydia Hempstead helped carry the load offensively for the Lady Patriots with 23 points.

Victory (1-1) led 5-3 early before entering the half up 15-5. That advantage stretched to 27-7 moving the final period.

Victory 53, Franklin Christian 49 (B): A third-quarter rally helped the Patriots notch their first victory on the season.

The teams were tied at 11-all after a quarter before the visitors took a 21-17 upper hand into the locker room. Victory battled back to go up 32-28 as the fourth quarter loomed.

Ryan Adcock's 20 points led the Pats (1-1). Nick Brown had 11.

Nick Burns and Taylor Gardner both had 18 points for Franklin.
