The Feet extended a 29-27 halftime advantage to 41-38 before the final period, but the Cougars found their shooting touch late, including making 9-of-12 free throws in the fourth quarter alone.
"It's just disappointing because there were key rebounds we couldn't grab when they did miss," Webb coach Jeff Mitchell said. "I've got to give (MTC) credit, they hit a couple baskets, but some of it too is us not getting our hands up or not sliding over to help somebody. We're just making key errors on the defensive end right now that we've got to fix in a hurry."
Killen Middleton was MTC's leading scorer with 17 points. Chase Alley had 11 and Micah Farmer 10.
Hunter Foutch paced Webb with 15 points. Logan Burchett chipped in 13, Luke Baum 12 and Miles Davis 11.
The Feet welcome Huntland to Bell Buckle on Saturday afternoon at 5.
