"A male entered, he didn't make any reference to or brandish a weapon," Detective Charles Merlo of the Shelbyville Police Department said.
"He walked up to the cashier, said, 'Give me the money, don't hit the alarm, just give me the money' and left," Merlo said.
The amount of cash taken is not being disclosed by police.
The suspect was described as standing approximately 6-foot-2, weighing 200 to 215 pounds and wearing a black or dark blue hoody with a camouflage bandana around his nose and mouth and wearing gloves. The cashier was unable to tell the robber's race, Merlo said.
Officers searched the area near the bank for some time, at one point discovering a rain-soaked hoody behind a nearby building. The hoody was not the suspect's, Merlo said.
The robbery was the second at the bank in slightly over a year and a half. No arrests have been made in a robbery April 22, 2008.
