Charles Presley Jr., 63, of Landers Street, Shelbyville, has had his next General Sessions court appearance set for Jan. 6.
Presley has been charged with sexual battery by an authority figure, solicitation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently being held under $41,000 bond.
According to warrants filed by Det. Becky Hord of the Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Presley allegedly asked a juvenile to have sex with him and grabbed her.
Presley is also accused of buying cigarettes for the minor as well, resulting in the charge of contributing to delinquency.
Guardsman accused
In Circuit Court on Friday, no motions were filed in the case against Andy Lynn Wallace, 35, of Nashville Highway, Lewisburg.
Instead, Russell still has a disposition day of Jan. 7 set, which will be the last day he will be able to determine what happens in his case. On that day, Wallace will either make a plea or have his case set for trial.
Wallace was indicted last month by the Bedford County grand jury on charges of soliciting and stalking a minor.
Circuit Court Judge Lee Russell ruled earlier this month that Russell would not be going to Iraq with the rest of his National Guard unit, but would be able to travel to Camp Shelby in Mississippi for temporary training as necessary.
Wallace's attorney, John Norton, had objected to any ruling that would limit his client from doing his job with the Guard.
Wallace is accused of sending text messages to a 16-year-old juvenile female "and also making inappropriate requests of the female juvenile via text message," Bedford County Sheriff's Department records state.
He is free on $32,000 bond.
