The wrecker, with towing equipment removed, had been at Victory Nissan, U.S. 231 North, since at least Monday, an employee told police.
Bolts had been cut to remove the wrecker's bed, the report said.
Also, a Shelbyville woman whose van had been left at the dealership over the weekend told police the license plate was stolen.
Thefts
* Jewelry and several hundred dollars are missing after three burglaries at a home on South Brittain Street, police said.
Money was taken twice and jewelry the third time, according to the report.
No signs of forced entry were found by police.
* Two window air conditioners were taken from a Hickory Drive residence between Dec. 23-30, police were told.
