The store's owner told police he was checking the leak Tuesday and discovered the tubing was broken or cut at the unit and again where it goes through the wall.
The theft occurred after Nov. 1, police were told.
Other thefts reported to Shelbyville police.
* A Yamaha 3500 generator was stolen from a Maplewood Drive home Tuesday.
Entry was gained by kicking a door.
* A purse belonging to a Shelbyville woman was taken from a shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot Tuesday.
The woman accidentally left the purse behind when leaving, she told police, and it was gone a few minutes later when she returned.

The following were arrested since Tuesday by the Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.
* Leon Barnes, 65, Rockvale; DUI; held, $1,000 bond
* Teresa Marie Bonifant, 42, Lower Halls Mill Road; filing false report, resist stop/frisk/halt/search; released, $7,500 bond
* Jason Michael Newsom, 29, Warren Hollow Road; failure to appear; released, $2,500 bond
