Sweeney's shots help Webb to 2OT win

Dylan Sweeney swished three free throws in the second overtime period to lift Webb over Franklin Road Academy 65-60 in an East/Middle Region matchup in Bell Buckle on Tuesday night.

Feet post Miles Davis, who led all scorers with 24 points, knocked down a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force the first extra frame.

"We were very fortunate and our kids played extremely hard," Webb coach Jeff Mitchell said.

The Feet (12-5, 5-1 East/Middle) led 12-8 after a quarter, 27-20 at the half and 38-36 entering the fourth.

Luke Baum followed Davis with 16 points, while Logan Burchett scored 11.

Ryan Gentle paced FRA (8-9, 1-2) with 21 points. Connor Maitland had 15 and Bud Cannon 10.

Webb made good on 23 of 36 free throws, while the visitors sank just 12 of 27.

The Bell Buckle bunch is at Riverside Christian Academy in Fayetteville on Friday.
