Harris boys reach tourney finals

Harris Middle's Golden Eagles advanced to Saturday night's Central Tennessee Conference Tournament championship after an impressive 38-15 win over host Coffee County in the semifinals Friday night.

Point guard Sterling Smith drilled four straight 3-pointers at the end of the first quarter and the start of the second plus added a pair of free throws in the fourth while seventh grader Tre Trice added 14 points for the winners.

With the game even at 9-all at the end of the first quarter, the Eagles outscored Coffee County 29-8 over the next three periods.

Harris was scheduled to face White County on Saturday.
