Webb rounded out its non-region schedule in grand fashion by dominating F.C. Boyd Christian 68-36 Monday night at the Barton Athletic Center in Bell Buckle.

The Feet (17-6) led from start to finish, including scoring 13 of the game's first 15 points.

"The kids were really excited to play tonight," Webb coach Jeff Mitchell said. "They were communicating well and moving well. On offense, the ball was moving crisply. In transition they were looking for one another; I thought they were unselfish."

Webb crashed the offensive glass with success throughout, which helped it to a 20-6 advantage after a quarter, with 11 of those points coming from Miles Davis.

Layups were rampant for the home team as several deflections led to fast-break points with the Feet simply sprinted past Broncos retreating in transition.

Bil Carter zoned in with eight of his 10 field goals coming in the second period. His 20 points were a career high.

"Bil can finish around the basket," Mitchell said. "He's really good short corner and all the way around. He's got good touch.

"Bil, on defense, is so long in the defense we're playing, he bothers their guards. That's a good place for him."

Carter and Luke Baum teamed up for six third-quarter baskets to help Webb extend its upper hand to 59-31.

Both coaches flooded the floor with substitutes in the game's latter stages. Eighteen of the 19 players in uniform scored.

Davis finished with 18 points. Baum chipped in 12.

Boyd Christian's J.T. Morgan had 10 points.

Webb wraps up its East/Middle Region schedule with a trip to Davidson Academy tonight. The Feet are looking to solidify their spot in third place in league standings.

"We've got to play with energy in order to keep the momentum going," Mitchell said.

The eighth-seeded Broncos face No. 1 seed Eagleville in the first round of the District 9-A tournament in Chapel Hill on Saturday afternoon at 4.
