Driver arrested after allegedly refusing to stop

A Shelbyville man was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly refusing police officers' orders Monday night.

Gregory Maurice Marlin, 27, allegedly refused to stop for blue lights on Quarry Street until reaching his nearby home. Marlin allegedly "became combative" after exiting his SUV and tried to kick officers several times.

The attempted traffic stop was initiated because Officer Chris Vest saw Marlin driving and was aware his license had been revoked for a previous DUI.

Marlin is charged with driving on a revoked license, resisting arrest and evading arrest. He posted $8,000 bond at Bedford County Jail.

Theft

A Bombardier jet ski was stolen over the weekend from a Buckingham Lane home, police said.
