Winter coats

These colts are ready for winter weather with their thick winter coats, which they displayed in the morning sun today in a wooded pasture off U.S. 41A south of Unionville. The thick coats provide an efficient thermal layer against the cold weather. Before the onset of summer, the horses will begin shedding their coats to accommodate the warmer weather.
