Animal cruelty suspect indicted on unrelated charges

A man facing a number of animal cruelty counts (see related story) was indicted Monday by the Bedford County grand jury on other charges.

John Darron Thomas, 43, was indicted on two counts of DUI, three counts of animals running at large, failure to appear, theft under $500 for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart and theft over $10,000 related to the alleged theft of lumber.

Thomas appeared briefly in court with his attorney, Thomas J. Henderickson, III, of Nashville and pleaded not guilty. He is currently free on bonds totaling $1,079,500 and he will appear next in Circuit Court on March 4.

Others indicted on Monday were:

*Tomas Felipe Bartolome, 19, statutory rape.

*James Gordon Buck, 19, sexual battery.

*Richard Dale Capps, 29, aggravated assault (two counts), conspriacy to committee aggravated assault.

*Jessee Andrew Comstock, 24, DUI second offense, habitual traffic offender, violation of implied consent.

*Beth Ann Damon, 19, promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, initiation of process resulting in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Santiago Guzman Delrio, 18, DUI, speeding.

*Corey Carlos Garrett, 31, sale of schedule II (three counts), delivery of schedule II (three counts), possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule II for delivery.

*Heather Daniell Garrett, 21, theft under $500, forgery (14 counts).

*James Edward Garrett, 21, evading arrest, aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident, immediate notice of accident, resisting arrest, DUI, driving on suspended license, violation of implied consent.

*Larry Randall Henry, II, 32, jail escape.

*Joshua Dwayne Hilliard, 26, sale of schedule II (two counts), delivery of schedule II (two counts).

*Lemuel Earl Houston, 33, criminal simulation (four counts).

*Joe Henry Jernigan, 61, aggravated sexual battery.

*Sarah Frances Malone, 29, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

*Daniel Lee Mooneyhan, 23, habitual traffic offender, reckless driving.

*Harvey Allen Powell, 35, DUI seventh offense, violation of implied consent, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container law.

*James Riley, 26, evading arrest, DUI second offense, driving on revoked second offense, violation of implied consent, possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Ricky Dale Shrum, 49, DUI eighth offense, habitual traffic offender, violation of implied consent.

*Jason Randolph Vincent, 40, filing false report, DUI third offense, driving on suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident.
