Drug offenses dominate grand jury indictments

Eight people were indicted by the Bedford County grand jury this month, with the list of 32 charges nearly all drug-related.

The group appeared briefly before Judge Robert Crigler for arraignment on Monday.

Indicted were:

* Charles Baker, 34, manufacture of schedule II, simple possession of schedule IV, possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of schedule II, delivery of schedule II, initiation of a process resulting in methamphetamine, possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule II for delivery.

* Charles Blanton, Jr., 40, initiation of a process resulting in methamphetamine.

* Brandon Bryson, 29, sale of schedule II, delivery of schedule II.

* Chelsea Marie Corrigan, 19, sale of schedule VI drug (two counts), delivery of schedule VI drug (two counts), conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

* Kasey Nicole Maddox, 29, sale of schedule II, delivery of schedule II.

* Timothy Aaron Newsom, 23, initiation of a process resulting in methamphetamine, tampering with evidence.

* Adrian Fontez Puckett, 25, sale of schedule II (two counts), delivery of schedule II (two counts), driving on a revoked license, second offense, possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule II for delivery.

* Rich Carroll Stophel, 31, sale of schedule I, delivery of schedule I, possession of schedule I for resale, possession of schedule I for delivery, possession of drug paraphernalia.
