One dead in cycle crash

Albert Richard Reeves Jr., 48, of Unionville died at the scene when thrown from the motorcycle at a sweeping curve on Midland Road near the Hart's Chapel Road intersection, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Reeves was southbound when he lost and was unable to regain control of the motorcycle, striking a bridge abutment.

"There were no signs of alcohol or drugs," the THP said.

The victim is Bedford County's second fatality of 2010.
