Vehicles were entered in The Meadows, off Old Tullahoma Highway just outside Shelbyville, and Center Church Road near Flat Creek last week and in Covered Bridge Estates near Bell Buckle on Monday night, according to the Bedford County Sheriff's Department.
"It would just be speculation on our part to say they're all related," Detective Sgt. Brian Farris said. "They are under investigation."
One residence, on Towhee Trail in The Meadows, was entered shortly before 3 a.m. June 30, Det. Scott Jones said. A resident said she heard a noise in the kitchen at approximately 2:55 a.m., then discovered later in the morning a purse left on a table near a door was gone.
No signs of forced entry were found, according to a report by Deputy Ronald Green.
The other burglaries across the county involved items such as purses stolen from mostly unlocked vehicles, Farris and Jones said. A laptop computer belonging to the Bedford County Board of Education was taken from one of the vehicles, according to a BCSD report.
One locked truck on Oriole Circle in The Meadows, was entered when a passenger side window was broken by what Deputy Lindsay Puckett's report described as a "blunt object creating a hole approximately 4 to 5 inches in diameter." The object used to break the window has not been determined, Jones said.

DREMC card used
Duck River Electric Membership Corp.'s credit card was used to purchase a computer for nearly $1,300 from a web site, Shelbyville police were told last week.
The accounting supervisor said Duck River's fraud department said the transactions began June 30 with a 1-cent donation to the Lance Armstrong Fund before the computer purchase. No response was received to an internal e-mail asking if an employee had mistakenly used the card, police said.
The card has been canceled.
