Flames break through the roof of the Jeff Ross home on Highway 82 East just off U.S. 231 North near Deason early Saturday night. The blaze's cause has not been determined, according to a Bedford County Fire Department spokesperson. He said the home was "pretty much a total loss."

Firefighters from Bell Buckle, Wartrace, Unionville and the main BCFD station in Shelbyville responded, with additional firefighters called in to relieve earlier responders due to humidity and heat.
