Haile has been employed by Workforce Solutions for 15 years and worked for the school system from 1990 through 1996 at Harris Middle School in the special education department. He is a 1977 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School.
He has served on the Senior Citizens Center board, has been MLK committee chair, has served on the Next Step Home board, and has served on parent advisory committees throughout the school system. He is the founder of the SCHS "Half-Timers," a group of young people who perform at the school's home basketball games.
Haile is the husband of Velencia Haile and the father of two sons. He is a deacon at Believer's Faith Fellowship Church.
"I have no hidden agenda except to see that all children in the Bedford County school system receive the quality of education that they deserve," Haile said. "I am a firm believer that it takes a village to raise a child, and that village is the Bedford County school system, making sure that all of our children's needs are met and that they all get the proper education they deserve.
"If elected, I promise to serve faithfully, fairly, and to always keep the best interests of our children first."
