Guinn competes for Commission position

Rodney Guinn has announced his candidacy for the 4th District seat on the Bedford County Board of Commissioners in the Aug. 5 general election.

Guinn is a 1989 graduate of Moore County High School. He has received certifications in HVAC and commercial truck driving from Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville.

He served three years as a volunteer fire fighter in Moore County. He was first employed with the Bedford County Sheriff's Department from 1996 to 1998 and returned in 2000 and currently fills the position of court officer .

"I have been married 14 years to Sandra Guinn," said Guinn. "We have two children. I am a life long member of the Nazarene Church.

"I am pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family and I am dedicated to the growth and progress of Bedford County. If trusted to fill the seat of District 4 county commissioner, I will seek to bring new businesses to Bedford County to help the economy back to where it should be," he said. "I believe we can generate revenue without putting a further burden on the tax payer of Bedford County. If elected by the people, I will work tirelessly for the people."
