Freshman Sterling Smith turned in the low score to claim medalist honors but the Golden Eagles came up on the short end of the score in a match against visiting Coffee County on Thursday at River Bend Country Club.

Smith shot an 82 while T.J. Cooper and Heath Sain each carded an 83 to pace the Red Raiders.

Shelbyville faces The Webb School this afternoon at River Bend.
