Rexie William "Rex" Dykes, 63, a Wartrace resident for most of his life, died Wednesday at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Per his wishes, he was cremated.
A memorial gathering will be held at the home of Billy and Lori Keown, 131 Carlisle Ave., Shelbyville beginning at noon Saturday, Aug. 6.
