The weather could not have been better for the Shelbyville Bedford County Humane Society's seventh fall fundraiser at the Bedford County Agriculture and Education Center.

Pet Celebration fans saw dogs judged in a variety of classes, including cutest tail, color class, cutest dog and rescue class for dogs that have been adopted through the Humane Society or a shelter.

Other classes included best trick, puppy class and costume class for dressed up dogs, special needs for dogs with disabilities and best in show where all the first place winners competed.

One special attraction this year was the 501st Legion, Vader's Fist, a group of Star Wars costume enthusiasts that take part in fund-raising, charity work, and volunteerism.

There also was a "critter class" for pets that don't fall into the K-9 category, which included a small boa constrictor, a pet peacock and a couple of rabbits.

Sponsor for this year's event was the Puppy Palace of Shelbyville.
