Rock walls along the Stagecoach Road Trail in The Savage Gulf State Natural Area. Three separate walls are visible in this photo. They were part of the McMinnville to Chattanooga Stagecoach Road system built primarily with slave labor back in the 1800's. The section of road where these walls are is very steep with many switchbacks as it descends from the plateau down into the gorge below. It is a strenuous trail that is in the middle section of the park.

This picture was taken on a recent backpacking trip along the Collins Gulf Trail loop. Two of the trails that we hiked were ones that I had never done before.
