An informational session about a new voter identification law will be held at 5:30 p.m. tonight at the Bedford County Courthouse.
The new law will require voters to show a valid photo ID at the polls. It won't go into effect until next year, but in preparation for this new requirement, Bedford County Election Commission is holding tonight's town hall-style meeting in the second floor courtroom.
The purpose of the meeting is to present information regarding the new law, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2012. The town hall meeting will include a presentation, followed by a question and answer period.
