The heartache of not knowing the whereabouts of his child is wearing on Anthony Beavers.

"I'm not doing good at all," Beavers says. His son, 16-year-old Jordan Beavers, was last seen Feb. 6 in Shelbyville.

Jordan jumped out of his father's truck that day at the Madison Street-North Main Street intersection and was seen later by a neighbor at his home. Anthony told police Jordan packed a few items and left a note for his sister.

Searching, waiting

Police and Anthony Beavers expected Jordan at that time to show up at his mother's home in Lewisburg. He hasn't been seen since leaving his dad's house.

"I'm just trying to take it day by day," Anthony said. "He's only 16, I don't know where he is."

Shelbyville police detective Carol Jean said the SPD talked Thursday with Marshall County detectives. Marshall County was going to attempt to contact Jordan's mother again today, she said.

Jordan is considered a runaway rather than a missing person at this time, Jean said.

Call the Shelbyville Police Department, (931) 684-5811, with any information on Jordan.
