Mrs. Betty Marlene Mooningham Rittenberry, 69, of Union City, Tenn., died Wednesday, April 18th at her home after an extended illness.
She was born June 25, 1942 in Shelbyville, Tn. She was a retired licensed beautician. She ran her own beauty shop in Ashland City for several years before retiring.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Annie Lee Carlton Mooningham. She was preceded in death by husbands. Melvyn Hudson Sr. and Steve Rittenberry, also a sister, Becky Mooningham Gibbs. She is survived by one son, Melvyn (Christine) D. Hudson Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; three sisters, Edith Montgomery, Glendon Batts of Union City, Tenn. and Loretta (Bob) Hoff of Nashville, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, she was cremated. Visitation will be held Monday April 23rd, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berean Way Christian Fellowship on Thompson Street. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Berean Way Christian Fellowship with Rev. Ron Skeeters officiating. Burial to follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Flowers to be accepted on Tuesday starting at 9 a.m.
