Mr. Thomas Michael Wheeler Jr., age 57, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his residence in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
He was a native of Bedford County and a staff pharmacist at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was a 1972 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1973. He earned a bachelor of science degree in pharmacology and graduated from UT of Memphis in 1981.
His many hobbies include rebuilding Harley Davidson motorcycles, sky diving and playing music.
He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.
He was the son of the late Thomas M. Wheeler Sr., who preceded him in death in 1996, and Sarah Katherine Wheeler of Shelbyville who survives him.
Along with his mother he is survived by three children: Monica Brooks of Camp Pendleton, California, Carmen Lynn Wheeler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Johnathon Wheeler of Clarksville, Tennessee.
He is survived by two brothers, Samuel Wheeler and his wife Jeanine, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, and Alan Wheeler and his wife Tammy, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Wheeler is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Funeral Chapel in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Gowen-Smith with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.
