Loads of fun are planned for July 4 at H.V. Griffin Park, with plenty of activities and entertainment set.
The opening ceremony kicks off at 5 p.m. with the National Anthem sung by Gary Haile, followed by a children's parade at 5:10.
Children's games will be available from 6 to 8 p.m., with other activities to be a red, white and blue parade, a 15-foot water slide, a watermelon split and a dunking tank benefiting the Children's Miracle Network. Tickets to the slide and games are 25 cents.
As for entertainment, a Half-timers street dance is set for 5:30 p.m., with local artist Cody Huber taking the stage at 6 p.m., followed by Kacey Smith at 7 p.m.
Of course, the big attraction will be the fireworks display, which is set to fire off at 9 p.m.
