Mrs. Betty Lou Dodson Harris, 69, of Shelbyville died Sunday, June 17th, at the Christian Care Center of Shelbyville. She was born September 16, 1942 in Huntsville, Alabama; a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired bookkeeper for Shelbyville Lumber Company.
She was the daughter of the late Pleas Herman and Helen Ruth Armstrong Dodson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Vernon Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Marlin V. Harris; two daughters, Corrine R. Harris of Shelbyville, Jackie H. (Allen) Lendley of Tullahoma; three brothers, James (Margie) Dodson of Unionville, Danny Lee (Rita) Dodson, Michael (Karen) Dodson of Petersburg; a sister, Gloria (Jerry) Williamson of Petersburg; one grandson, Logan Lendley; two step-grandchildren, Cody Lendley and Ashley Carlton; two step-great-grandchildren, Brenley and Brooklyn Carlton.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20th, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Rev. Ronnie Adams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
