Nan Steede

Mrs. Nan Steede, age 94, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Ed Boggess and Russ Countess will officiate, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

She was born July 3, 1918, in Moore County, to the late Logan and Mary Lora Elizabeth Pierce Cyree. She was retired from Fly Manufacturing Company, and a faithful member of Fairlane Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan Davis Steede, in 1999, and a daughter, Patricia Carey, in 2009.

She is survived by a daughter, Kitty Steede, of Shelbyville; a brother, James Buford, and his wife Jewell, of Summitville; a son-in-law, Charles Carey, of Prospect; grandchildren, Michael Carey and Lou and Todd Smith; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ruth, and Lorelei Smith; a niece, Elizabeth Tipps.

Memorials may be made to Fairlane Church of Christ.

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
