Funeral services for Wanda Raye Haskins, age 54, of Bell Buckle will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Don Frensley and Brother Jason Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle. Mrs. Haskins passed at her special friend and father-in-laws' home, Mr. Aaron Haskins, Thursday, July 12, 2012 after an extended illness.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home and beginning at noon Sunday until the funeral at 2:30.
Born in Manchester, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late father, J.I. Rogers and is survived by her mother Lucille Alford Rogers. She was preceded by a sister Charlotte Allen.
Wanda retired from the Alvin C. York Medical Center as an dental hygienist with 24 + years of service, was of the Baptist faith and attended Fosterville Baptist Church. She served on the Hillard Gardner Softball League for many years, enjoyed gardening and attending softball games.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry Haskins, children Justin (Angela) Haskins and daughter Janna Haskins, all of Bell Buckle, sister Brenda (Lee) Chambers of Lewisburg, brother Randall (Margaret) Rogers of Manchester and father-in-law Aaron Haskins of Bell Buckle and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers: Randy Simpson, Jimmy Jones, Bill Graves, Robert Honey, Chuck Rogers, Larry McClenney, Todd Riddle, Daniel Mason, Danny Sain.
