Reward offered for info on murder

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

TULLAHOMA (AP) -- The family of a nursing student found dead at Tims Ford Lake has established a reward fund for information about her death.

Erika Megan Sharpton's sister told The Tullahoma News contributions are being accepted at American City Bank.

A driver discovered the burning body of the 23-year-old Sharpton early July 2 at the Awalt Bridge in Franklin County. Her car was found later the same day in Bedford County near Three Forks Bridge.

Franklin County Sheriff Tim Fuller said a number of people likely saw Sharpton on July 1, but haven't come forward to tell police where they saw her.
