Billy Smith waited for his poker run supporters at the finish.
Father's Day was a tough time for the children and wife of Billy Smith. The well-known and much-loved patriarch suffered an aneurysm and a light stroke only a month prior, and was facing a long road to recovery.

A view from the front of the pack offers some perspective on the number of Smith supporters.
Smith is progressing well, and returned home last Friday. According to daughter Tabitha McBride, Smith must use a walker and have a home health nurse, but is grateful to be home.

Unfortunately, Smith's health insurance stopped this week and was denied coverage through Medicaid. Wife Daphne Smith is currently looking through options for assistance to her beloved husband.

Smith and his two youngest children, Dustin Smith and Tabitha McBride are happy that he's been able to return home.
Last Saturday, the family hosted a motorcycle poker run for Smith. The turnout was good, and Smith was happily awaiting the gang's arrival at the finish.
