The Tennessee Highway Patrol will hold driver's license checkpoints at four locations in Bedford County over the Labor Day weekend,
On Sunday, Sept. 2 checkpoints will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Huffman Road near Normandy and at 9 p.m. at the 6.5 mile marker on State Highway 82.
Two will be held on Labor Day, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. on State Route 64 at the 18 mile marker and at 9 p.m. on U.S. 41A at the 23 mile marker.
"Recognizing the danger presented to the public by unqualified drivers, troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by drivers who violate the driver's license laws of Tennessee," a THP press released said. "The Tennessee Highway Patrol has found these driver license roadside checkpoints to be an effective means of enforcing driver's license laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorists."
