Leroy John Breaux Jr., deaf resident of Shelbyville passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his residence in Shelbyville. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and the son of the late Leroy J. Breaux Sr. and Jean F. Sunseri who survives him.

Mr. Breaux was of the Catholic faith. He has worked in heating and cooling doing duct work for more than 45 years.

Mr. Breaux is survived by his wife who is deaf: Lydia Breaux and one son who is also deaf: Bruce Breaux and his wife Marie and one daughter: Bonnie York who is deaf and her husband Larry.

He is survived by one sister who is deaf, Pearl Weems and two brothers: Anthony Breaux and his wife Sylvia and Nicholas Sunseri who is deaf.

Mr. Breaux is survived by eight grandchildren: Darian Tipton, Valeria Tipton who is deaf, Brice Breaux who is deaf, Bruce Breaux Jr. who is deaf, Alexander Breaux, Kaitlin Breaux, Destiney York and Tylor York.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gowen-Smith Chapel in Shelbyville.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Bank Cemetery in Flat Creek with father Mike Helms officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
