BELL BUCKLE -- The Webb Feet (2-0) are off and running to the best start in school history with a whopping 36-0 shutout victory over Franklin Christian on Friday afternoon.

Webb found its rhythm early and didn't back off the accelerator until the final whistle blew in the week one victory.

Alex Husley put the Feet on the board with the first Webb touchdown with about four minutes left to go in the first quarter. He caught a few blocks and broke a 30-yard touchdown scamper, and with the extra point tacked on by Zach Norris, the Feet were sitting on top with a 7-0 early lead.

Barely a minute later, the Feet struck again.

This time, quarterback Zach Fenner went to the air and found senior wide receiver Chase Hullet on a 25-yard touchdown pass reception.

Webb added 14 more points in the second quarter as well.

Hulsey, along with teammate Rio Russell each picked up rushing touchdowns of two and 12 yards, respectively to put the Feet up 28-0 heading into the break.

While the Feet were relentless on offense in the first half, Webb scored one more time in the second home game of the year.

Back up quarterback Chris Burgoon also showed his prowess with the pass attack when he went to the air and connected with Hunter Foley for a 13-yard touchdown reception.

Hulsey carried the ball into the end zone for a two-point conversion for the final score of the afternoon.

Offensively, Hulsey racked up 107 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 13 carries against Franklin Christian. Rio Russell and Ethan Arnold made up the rest of the Feet ground attack with Russell adding 31 yards on eight carries while Arnold picked up 30 yards on four carries.

Hullet led the receivers with three catches for 34 yards with Burgoon and Foley adding 17 and 13 yards on one reception apiece.

Fenner made good on 4-of-9 passing attempts for 51 yards. He also had four rushes for 31 yards before turning the ball over to Burgoon.

Burgoon completed one pass for 13 yards and had six carries for 35 yards.

Defensively, Webb was just as effective.

Sam Coleman led the defensive corps with seven tackles and a recovered fumble to his credit. Hulsey. Houston Jones, Ben Morris, and Branson Popp also came up with four tackles apiece to help hold the visitors scoreless.

Webb returns to the gridiron in two weeks when the Feet travel to New Life Christian in Millbrook, Ala.
