For the past few weeks, Jake Pimental has led the Cascade Champions on nearly every outing on the golf course. But from time to time, golfers fall out of sync and can't post those field-besting rounds. Cascade, however, was able to put another player into that medalist role on Thursday afternoon at River Bend.
Tanner Burks earned medalist honors with a field-besting 38, leading the Champs to the tri-match win.
The Champs collectively shot a 159, besting second-place Webb by 173. Marshall County finished third in the match with a combined 176.
Bryce Clinton and Jake Pimental followed just two strokes back from Burks with a 40. Chad Gordon rounded out the varsity scoring for the Champs with 41.
Webb also proved to be competitive in the clash with Cascade.
Ben Morris and John Wang each shot a 41 to be right in the thick of the scores. Eli Freeman finished the day three strokes behind his teammates with a 44 while Zach Ring rounded out the varsity scoring for the Feet with a 52.
