"We've really played a tough schedule at the start of the season and I think the girls saw that pay off in this district win. We really did a good job on both ends of the field and it's always great to get a shutout in a district game," Central coach Neal Gordon said.
"It was also good to have the opportunity to play a lot of different players and give them some quality minutes in the game."
Freshman Olivia Doak scored a hat-trick to lead the way with three goals, senior Heather Groves found the back of the net twice while sophomore Hayley Puckett and freshman Brooklyn Davis each added a goal for the Eaglettes.
"We are still a very young team with only two seniors and we're going to hopefully get better and better as the season goes along," Gordon said.
The Eaglettes return to action Tuesday against Lincoln County then host Tullahoma on Thursday night.
