Mr. Jack Totty, age 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at his home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Randy Fox will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
He was born August 25, 1940, in Hickman County, to the late Hobert and Elizabeth Davidson Totty. He worked in broadcasting for 40 years, during which he was manager of WLIJ Radio in Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Johnny, and Ronald Totty.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Devetta Litton Totty, of Shelbyville; daughter, Linda Totty Fox, and her husband Lee, and a son, Mike Totty, and his wife Susan, all of Shelbyville; three sisters, Wilene Totty Durham, and her husband Joe, and Mable Totty, both of Michigan, and Ann Totty MacDonnell, of Maine; two grandchildren, Brian Palmer and Ashley Totty, and her husband Michael; three step-grandchildren, David Fox, and his wife Deanna Mercedes, and Haley Milliken.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
