The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John C. Crowell Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Manor Sudberry. She is a 1983 graduate of Central High School, and a 1987 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science. She is co-owner of EnVention, LLC in Huntsville, Ala.
The groom is the son of Dr. Donald Barnes Sr. of Shelbyville and Charlotte Bullington of Murfreesboro. He is a self-employed Information Technology Specialist serving customers in middle Tennessee and northern Alabama.
The double-ring ceremony was conducted by Rev. Kent Lewis on the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 11 at Fair Haven Baptist Church in Shelbyville in front of a large company of guests. Billie Crowell was the pianist for the ceremony, and Gladys Stephens served as ceremony director.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, ivory gown with a drop waist and embellished with white sequins. Her bouquet featured freshly-cut lilies and white roses designed by the bride's cousin, Rita Forbes.
The bride was attended by her matron of honor, Dianne Cook of Shelbyville. Her bridesmaids were Cindy Barnes, Shawn Shearon and Jackie Barnes, all of Shelbyville. The junior bridesmaids were Katelen and Sarah Shearon, daughters of Daniel and Shawn Shearon.
The groom's father served as best man. His groomsen were Donald Barnes Jr. of Shelbyville, and Dr. David Barnes and Joe Kincaid, both of Murfreesboro. The junior groomsmen were Donald "Trey" Barnes III and Jon Barnes, sons of Donald and Cindy Barnes.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom and family members at the Central Church of Christ in Shelbyville. The bride and groom hosted a wedding reception at the Blue Ribbon Circle.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico and plan to make their home in Huntsville, Ala.
